Who We Are

Pastor Billiance "Billy" Chondwe
Director Zambia Operations
Billy is the heart and soul of this work. When USAID pulled out of Zambia, thousands of patients and their families in the remote villages of Zambia's Copperbelt suddenly lost access to life-saving medical and food aid, Billy has worked with the Zambian Ministry of Health to secure a limited supply of medicine. and has reached out to churches, mosques and social groups to form a distribution and aid network. He is working to get ex-USAID trained Community Health Workers back to work.
Billy needs our help to get get food, long-term medical supplies, and transportation, as well as to employ and coordinate these aid workers, to save thousands of lives.
Bud Feuless
Director, US Operations
After reading Billy's story in the news, I knew I had to help. I worked with the authors of the NPR articles (see the bottom of our main page) to ensure that he was truly the right person to work with (he is). I've given until it hurts, and it's still not enough (financially), so I worked with Billy to get a non-profit corporation and 501(c)(3) registered, get this site running, work out a detailed plan and try to handle as much as I can in the background.
